Sorry to bump an old topic; are there any plans to implement such a feature anyway? Or is there a way we can build this ourselves? Its a pain right now to organize birthday gifts and allow everyone but one person.

I would like to contribute or write my own plugins; is there any guide for this available apart from the official nodebb documentation?

Example things Im looking for are; how to setup dev environment, pull code, test in seperate nodebb.

@PitaJ my community would like to see names of attendees instead of avatars, as well as a the total number of Yes/No/Maybe. How would I go about implementing this?

• activated plugin
• clicked restart on admin panel

and now 10 minutes later Im getting this error when visiting our forum.

hi guys,

recently I have tried to create a script that displays a random image in a folder as a header image. however, I cam across some problems.

first we can add an image to the custom header like so:

<img src=<!-- url image--> class='center'>

then add css to custom css like so

img.center {
    display: block;
    margin-left: auto;
    margin-right: auto
}

however, i want to only show the image on a certain category. so I tried this for category 1:

I would like to add some new features to it. Of course I want to make sure I wont mess up anything; I still want to be able to update nodebb and stuff. Just makin' sure; whats the best way to do this? I could not find a guide for this,

You probably have two search icons because you added it in your admin panel -> general -> navigation.

I would like to change the plugin a little bit. For example, make the list of users who liked the post always visible. How would I go about in doing this?

Hi Duke, I was aware of that solution. However, I had hopes that there was an easier way to do this. Because I have to do this for about 50 users. Making seperate groups for each of them works I guess, but would not be ideal. We've been using PHPBB before and they had the option to 'block' one user from seeing that particular category and their posts.

I would like to create a place to post topics where only 1 person is blocked from seeing it. This would be for discussing gifts for example for a specific person .

What would be the most optimal way to implement this?

It'd be awesome if you could send out an email to all users of the forum (or users that have the permission to see the topic), when creating an event. Would that be feasible?

@PitaJ Hm Just because I dont want other People to be able to view it. We use the forum in a selected Group of 40-50 People. We dont want to attract anyone with the forum and only use it for ourselves as a way to keep things Organized for events
