Originally founded in 1918 as the Maryland Tuberculosis Sanatorium for African-Americans, and later renamed Henryton Sanatorium and finally Hentryton State Hospital, this large campus was abandoned in 1985 and was a haven for urban explorers until it was demolished in 2013.

The legendary Blue Horizon boxing arena in Philadelphia, abandoned after the decline of the sports' popularity. Despite failed efforts to turn it into a community center, it appears doomed to be demolished so a trendy hotel can be built instead.
