Excerpt option in Recent topics

I have added custom home page and used Recent Topics widgets. But it only shows topic headline. It would be nice to have some option to show excerpt as well. I currently use Recent Post which shows excerpts but no heading.

I think if there is a excerpt field in the topic data will be fine too~
