I am not sure if this is a bug, or just translations are not updated yet... This is how world and world all looks when I am not logged in...

3.7.0 Upgrade Supportadditionally, can you please extend this pagination bar on mobile for topics list? some of us have sausage fingers and cannot click on such a small area easily... lol...
moreover, I guess you may want to update twitter logo to X...

3.7.0 Upgrade SupportI have encountered several issues while using the website on mobile, the bottom bar prevents the visibility of bottom sheet options
- When browsing sub-category options, tags/categories/topics filters, the bottom bar prevents the options from being fully visible on the screen. Sometimes, it doesn't appear on the first click, but the issue becomes more apparent when clicking on tags, categories, and filters sequentially. After clicking on the tag button, when categories are selected, the bottom bar reappears and prevents the visibility of all options.
- When using the website as a PWA, the tags list doesn't extend to the bottom of the screen. I have to manually pull the screen and drag it up to see the last tag options.
- This is more of an aesthetic critique rather than a bug... the tag screen on mobile uses excessive space unnecessarily. I suggest implementing two columns of tags instead of one, allowing for twice as many options to be visible on mobile screens at any time.

Posting in Activity pub@julian just to clarify, my comment is also related to this post and concerns how posts from other servers appear on the NodeBB forum...
Pre-Alpha ActivityPub-related bug reports
Probably a todo more than a bug. You cannot see posts of mastodon users on nodebb: https://community.nodebb.org/user/[email protected]/posts

Posting in Activity pub@omega well, @julian previously mentioned that only publicly available posts can be federated... Additionally, only federation-enabled categories can be federated-out... So, I do not think anyone on these categories would be upset if their contents are federated out, since it is already publicly accessible and users are aware that it is a federation-enabled section...
However, my concern would be the opposite of this, federated-in contents... These are basically unmoderated content from other servers... well... while each server likely to have its own moderation, these posts are not moderated by us, so federated-in contents could pose problems if someone is posting something that can be considered legal in one country but illegal in another... Unfortunately we are not living in a completely free world, and not all countries tolerate free speech equally.
so, it might be important for us to distance ourselves from those posts/profile by displaying a disclaimer indicating that these posts are from other servers?
mastodon social shows my replies (which were already publicly visible anyways, so I am not concerned about those), but for the posts, since I have not created any topic on this forum yet, it does not show anything and there is link to the original profile.
Perhaps, it would be beneficial to have these disclaimers on the forum, making it clear that these posts do not belong to our forum and are hosted on other servers... This way, I am hoping we can avoid any potential legal issues lol

Posting in Activity pubthis "verified badges" can be useful...
@phenomlab and I were working on this verified badge for some time in the past, but we gave up on the "flower" shape and went with another one....

If a new topic is posted in the activity pub category is it federated out via NodeBb mastodon account or what happens exactly?
-
Is there a case to differentiate acitivyt pub users versus native users etc.
Or, where is the exact post on these matters that I didn't bookmark!
Please check here:
https://community.nodebb.org/post/98324- From my understanding, it is federated out using [email protected] account... this is how I see your account on mastodon:
But people only will be able to see this if they are following you, but it is searchable and reachable from any mastodon server... so, they do not need to visit the forum to be able to see your posts in federated categories...
- I believe federated users should be seen as full name, but I guess since this forum uses full name (not username) as the display name, we cannot distinguish them clearly...
However, I previously mentioned here how this setting is open to abuse:
Question about SSO and username/userslug uniqueness
@julian this is just an example... you can see it is open to abuse...

We might have more than 2 julians in the forum maybe nodebb can adapt "verified" badge that twitter popularized?

Test Suite for the Fediverse@julian can it be aggregated to a single topic event if (let's say) more than 5 together?

Pre-Alpha ActivityPub-related bug reportshi @julian , although I read these two topics, they do not go away from my "unread list" and "unread count"

profile info scanner pluginjust to point it out, this search function will be utilized by others, for sure by @Gliding9426 , especially to identify "obviously spam" users. These users are otherwise difficult to detect without spending countless hours checking each user individually.
Option to disallow links in user profiles?
Yes, they were writing in the about me. Pretty invisible to moderators, was discovered by accident because one of those was posting useless replies and was w...

profile info scanner pluginalternatively, if it is easier, this search function can be added to this search page (but only available to moderators) to search on profile page, which will search the word on these sections: "full name", "website", "about me", and "signature"... and return username as results... so spam users can be detected and removed from the forum database...

@saikarthikp9 I assume it doesn't happen when you disable the below setting?
Just to emphasize this, I believe this should be considered as a bug, because without this option, the menu bar is very very hard to use naturally on mobile... When you scroll the page up, after the page hits the top part of the page, the menu bar becomes hidden automatically... This behavior is not normal... In order to see the menu bar, you have to scroll the page down and up again and stop before reaching the part part... this should be fixed...

I think the design of the bottom bar needs to fixed to be more mobile-friendly...
Currently when the forum is saved as PWA, the bottom bar stays very low, and unfortunately due to the phone case, it is hard to press each side of the bar...
for those who might have similar complaints... this is the CSS code I used to fix the problem...
.bottombar-nav .nav-link { padding: 13px !important; }

3.7.0 Upgrade Support@crazycells well, it is coded to be
60vh
, I have changed it to80vh
...I guess navigation dropdown is the left panel, and user dropdown is the right panel?

@crazycells let me have a look at this later today
lol, I am ashamed to say this but I think I figured it out, and it was very easy... I believe this is the code?
.bottombar-nav .navigation-dropdown, .bottombar-nav .user-dropdown { max-height: 80vh !important; }
Apparently, I was looking at the wrong parts of the CSS codes...

3.7.0 Upgrade Support@phenomlab then, please help I checked the developer tools, but failed to understand which parameters are determining this height...

3.7.0 Upgrade SupportHi @baris , I have a comment and a question about the navigation menu panel on mobile... what would be the easiest way to make this menu panel larger/longer on mobile?
I guess this is designed to be part of the "harmony" theme, but I believe a longer menu panel would be way more efficient. When someone wants to see the menu, I think it would make more sense to see all (or as many as possible) options at the same time, rather than opening a smaller panel? Basically, I do not need to see the background while I am selecting a menu option, right? Anyways, I respect the designer however, I would like to change the length of this menu panel on mobile for our forum without breaking anything else is there an easy way to achieve this? Thanks...
