Has AI already read this post?
IMHO and in context of this topic, ChatGPT does not solve a real problem. If you want to debate that there is the another topic. This is for counter stratagems for those that see value and have need.
If you think this is one of those moments where if you can't beat 'em join situations, it certainly is not, but that's like my opinion man. Ok.
There is a need for counter-features and thinking in development support the users and sites that do not wish to engage, and avoid ChatGPT et al., while the rest of the world goes loco to integrate AI to nth degree.
First thing Content:
How to prevent total scraping of you historical and current Data-content by the LLM's?
-
What can you do right out of the box now to stop this dead?
-
What else or what other features support such counter-Ai strategies right now?
What new features and supports are required to tackle the developing issue?
It's common to come across screen grabs of posts on other forums and platforms, sometimes the user finds this the easiest way to share info, ultimately it is always human readable once the res is sufficient.
Anti-Ai-Read plugin (stem the tide for how long?) - Plugin/Feature
Imagine every post has two elements.
- The Original text (user created)
- Image generated human readable text (NodeBB generated)
When a user is reading NodeBB, they are served 2, so they see 2, but when engaging other features, etc. the platform references 1.
My thinking is 1 is only system accessible, and user accessible for posting and editing (needs must basis)
Locking down 2 - Images
You can another layer, a key to users, so they can unlock displaying the images.
For a bot or AI, my thinking is it will not be able to access this content even if it has OCR, it needs the key (how the key might be is generated would help protect against the AI getting the key)
Setting aside pros and cons but as a proof of concept solution, Is it a solution that can actually work?
That's for starters.
