You might want to look into this plugin: https://community.nodebb.org/topic/142/nodebb-plugin-static-page-static-pages#1235 & you can edit the footer content from the Widgets area in ACP + you can use Bootstrap 3 markup when creating new tab links etc.

Start NodeBB on system boot@Marco The Debian script you provided uses the built-in NodeBB start function(?), which is okay, but I need the script to start a forever instance. How can do that?

Start NodeBB on system bootHey,
How do you guys start NodeBB automatically on system boot? I found this Upstart script over here: https://www.exratione.com/2013/02/nodejs-and-forever-as-a-service-simple-upstart-and-init-scripts-for-ubuntu/. However, after I edited this to match my Node & NodeBB paths etc., it gives me an error.
root@domain:/etc/init# start nodebb
start: Job failed to start
Here is the script I'm using. http://pastebin.com/M1uNFkPi -

[nodebb-plugin-shoutbox] Shoutbox pluginGreat plugin! Anyway, I know that this plugin isn't confirmed to be compatible with 0.4.1, but I've found a bug.
When a non logged-in user browses the forum and then returns to the page where the shoutbox is located, it will display an empty page to the user. -
Grabbing avatars from an external URLHey,
I'd like to know if there exists a method to alter the way how avatars are automatically assigned to users (like Gravatar). For example, let's say I have an user named Foo and his avatar is located on a remote server & domain, on the URL domain.com/avatar/Foo.png. Basically, all I need is that NodeBB would automatically take the avatar from a specified URL and assign it as the user's avatar when he/she registers for the first time.

Defining custom routesHello,
About a week ago I stumbled upon NodeBB & thought to give it a try. I'd like to point out that I'm a beginner with the Node.js environment, so getting into it has been very difficult.
Anyway, the reason why I'm posting here is that I can't figure out the way how to create custom routes to display dynamic forum content. So here is the scenario:I have the Vanilla theme installed & I've successfully edited the layouts to fit my needs. Now I'm stuck at the part where I need to create a new route (/forum) & assign it as a menu item. How can I achieve this? (Note: I've already added the href="{relative_path}/forum" value to one of my menu items. I've also created a new layout file called forum.tpl in the Vanilla templates directory as well.)
Any help is much appreciated!
