Node_modules, yes. I also cannot seem to update via reload or restart to nodebb .8.2. Do i need to install it before custom pages or? Cant figure out why i cant install it.
(Removing an entire directory in ubuntu should not be so hard.)

That's a great question. i think that it depends on the nearby content. Imgur? great use; drive-by comments directly related to humor. Reddit? inferior use; substantive content is hampered by showboating at the comment level. But, at the thread level it can certainly be a useful tool; democratic nomination of the most entertaining content. And, as long as there are groups based on content those who seek something other than that can find their way home.

No. you must do it manually
Ok, still you CAN add things... pretty awesome. What is the process for doing so?
Is there a button to add emojiis?
The jealousy is real!
I checked the homepage in ACP and the widget spaces are not there. Tried installing again, but the plugin only shows in the server folder; not in the list of plugins or the list of installed plugins.

Well, it's outdated in terms of missing the
nbbpm
field in package.json, therefore not showing up in the forums plugin list. But it does work, when you install it manually.
All you have to do is:
- install plugin
npm install nodebb-plugin-custom-homepage
,- fill the
homepage.tpl
with widgets (ACP),- set your homepage to the plugins route.
Done.
Oh, no! other people get to use it? lol, I've been trying to manual install and it doesnt work. Doesnt show up in my list of installed plugins. It doesnt show there? I might be able to use it if it is supposed to be missing there.
i'd looked at that plugin as well, but custom homepage is currently incompatible yes?
interesting, jquery install is demanding node 0.10.40 while the existing node is 0.10.37. Updating going to cause any incompatibilities with nodebb?
Hey, thanks! Thats a real leg up on the work ahead.
I would like to move the Categories page to this Jquery sidebar menu: MMenu or Simple Menu
Can i do that in the custom HTML page? Trying to avoid a plugin or template change if possible... Putting nodebb widget space into one is harder than i thought.

This made my page work, the / is only missing from the setup page. It is in the actual path.
my custom pages problem got solved here:
Error thread
Does it solve yours?
Sooooo, that worked.
Removed the whack and it started working right away.
custom pages
Me too.
Just wanted to stop in here and say that this WYSIWYG composer is really very good.
anything working example to add to the boxes to make a valid page and i'll reverse engineer whats needed.
Custom static pages are not loding. Whenever we try, it links to a "Not Found" page.
I tried entering the routing as above, thank you for the correct routing format btw, but now i get a splash page for http.com. i had an error before but it appears that it was a dns error, due to the new result a day later.
What is the format of the header, footer and content? HTML? its not been working. Any differences between what is expected by the program and traditional HTML?
It is a key plugin for me and the forum that i am building. It extends the possibilities of the software by a large margin.
@psychobunny Any word on the formating of the html code for these boxes?
Custom CSS in the ACP works great, but the custom pages is a mystery as of yet.
Reinstalled custom-pages and tried to revert again, restarted and checked again; failed to revert. The forum also has not been updating to 0.8.2 when reloading.

nodebb-plugin-desktop-notifications 0.2.2
Dang, was hoping for a privacy-friendly alternative to Pushbullet. The permissions on pushbullet are too much.
