Hackpad plugin? -
Are forum data and everything else (including plugin-settings) stored in a same redis file?@Ken-OKABE Yes, all settings (including plugin settings) are saved in the Redis data. As far as I know, there is no way to split up forum data from plugin data, as each plugin is free to save data in whichever way they'd like.

SSO-LDAP(windows ad) and account import?Hi @nashsai -- if you have some programming experience, you can create an LDAP SSO plugin, using our existing SSO plugins (fb, google, twitter) as a template. You would have to replace the underlying library to use passport-ldap.

Upgrading to 0.4.3 broke my forumI think I know what happened...
old redis (< 2.4..?) had default database file as
dump.rdb
. Newer redis configs have the database file set toredis.rdb
.You should have a config file for redis at
/etc/redis/redis.conf
. Look for a line that starts withdbfilename
. What is its value? It's probablyredis.rdb
. Change it todump.rdb
and save. Then restart redis:service redis-server restart

Upgrading to 0.4.3 broke my forumForum wiped? That really doesn't seem right... what files do you see in
/var/lib/redis
? What are their sizes (usels -lh
to check)? -
Problem initializing sounds?Whoops, chown chmod.. same difference, right?
Do the sounds work in another browser? Any errors in console when you try playing the sound in the ACP?

[nodebb-plugin-cards] Show cards when hovering over user links!Lookin' good @Schamper !!

Problem initializing sounds?@markkus Can you also double-check that the entire folder tree is owned by the same user running NodeBB? For example, even if
notification.mp3
is owned by you (with 777 permissions), if you don't have read access to the parent directory, it might still not work. The sounds themselves are in
node_modules/nodebb-plugin-soundpack-default
, so try resetting the permissions on the entire folder. If you run it under the usermarkkus
:$ cd /home/nodebb/foorum $ chmod -R markkus:markkus node_modules/

Can't edit nodebb-plugin-emailer-local settings@SPHINX Thanks! I've opened up a pull request back to @psychobunny's repository.
-
Can't edit nodebb-plugin-emailer-local settingsCould you try using
git+https://github.com/psychobunny/nodebb-plugin-emailer-local
instead, perhaps? -
Can't edit nodebb-plugin-emailer-local settings@SPHINX Ah, nevermind, seems that plugin doesn't exist anymore... can you try installing @psychobunny's fork via npm install again?
-
Upgrading to 0.4.3 broke my forumnode_redis: no callback to send error: ERR unknown command 'pexpire'
Looks like your Redis version isn't quite up to date... NodeBB requires a minimum of v2.6

"Active users browsing" floods on socket reconnect in any given topicIt's not on GitHub, no -- but a cursory check of the code shows that users do rejoin the room they left on socket reconnection. Perhaps @baris fixed it recently?
-
Upgrading to 0.4.3 broke my forumHmm... Please take a look at the file
/logs/output.log
... It might contain information about what caused the db connection to die... -
Can't edit nodebb-plugin-emailer-local settings@SPHINX please give nodebb-plugin-emailer-nodemailer a try instead

"Active users browsing" floods on socket reconnect in any given topicLegit bug that we've not gotten around to fixing. It is due to the fact that when you reconnect, you automatically join the
global
"room", as does everybody else. You don't automatically join thetopic_{tid}
room again. So while normally, when you enter a topic, the browsing list comprises the users in the
topic_{tid}
room, when the server d/c's and reconnects, the browsing list re-updates but is showing the users inglobal
, yourself included. -
Category pages aren't ordered correctly per pageWhile unfortunate, the loss of OP content is still better than the entire topic being deleted
I believe Reddit follows the same philosophy
-
Category pages aren't ordered correctly per pageYeah... original behaviour was if every post was deleted, the topic would auto-delete. For one reason or another (@baris can explain), we changed this...
I think because we now change the post to .5 opacity with the text "This post is deleted!", though in that case, the actual post count in the topic shouldn't go down...
