Arrows don't work?@zenkamal I agree. I expect single arrow to take you up 20 posts, and double arrow to go to first/last post.

Arrows don't work?Working as intended

Some quick questions on plugin developmentvar meta = module.parent.require('./meta');
. Then,meta.config
may have the configuration (might need to double-check that).var nconf = module.parent.require('nconf');
will allow you to hook into the configuration utility we use:nconf.get('url')
returns the full url.- Unfortunately not -- our hooks are designed to keep the information passed in to a minimum.
- The
posts.parse
hook is called whenever a piece of content needs to be "parsed like a post". It is not strictly a hook that is called whenever a topic is loaded. Perhaps you can look intofilter:post.getPosts
?

Account locked temporarily Issues?@himadree I cannot confirm that this is a bug, so I'm unable to help you... it seems like your Redis database is unable to persist properly to disk. Perhaps you can inspect the log files in Redis for some clues.
-
Account locked temporarily Issues?@himadree So it worked the first time, but after restarting redis/nodebb, the login stopped working? That's quite weird.
-
Account locked temporarily Issues? After you run the
hkeys
command, you need to copy the last key shown. Then you have to go to the following url:http://127.0.0.1:4567/reset/f864daa6-af80... (the rest of the key)
That will let you reset the password.
-
Arrows don't work?@zenkamal No worries, moved it for you
See if you can find a solid set of reproduction steps...

Account locked temporarily Issues?@himadree What does
redis-cli KEYS lockout:*
show? -
Account locked temporarily Issues?- Go to http://127.0.0.1:4567/reset, and send yourself a reset password request. Doesn't matter if no emailer is installed.
- Run the redis command line (
redis-cli
), and execute this query:hkeys reset:uid
, copy the LAST result returned - Go to http://127.0.0.1:4567/reset/{that_code}, and reset your password.
To unlock a locked account, and you know your uid:
redis-cli DEL lockout:YOUR_UID

NodeBB integration with Tapatalk@kud In short, we build NodeBB with mobile devices in mind -- nobody should have to use an app just to browse a forum.
I don't want to say anything inflammatory, so I mean this in the best way possible: NodeBB is designed to make Tapatalk (and other apps like it) obsolete.
Pushbullet notifications are free for both forum owners and forum users, so we're looking to make it available for everybody once NodeBB v0.5.0 ships

Is my NodeBB installation correct?@himadree I don't see why not

Modifying styles in /public/templates? Don't.Re: @Tanner, who said via IRC:
<Paaltomo> wow <Paaltomo> I can't believe it <Paaltomo> but I can't override this css for the life of me <Paaltomo> #fade-out <Paaltomo> or .fade-out w/e <Paaltomo> why the hell are you so difficult <Paaltomo> and why do none of my changes stick in /public/templates? <Paaltomo> after a restart?
No, you can't modify CSS in
/public/templates
, as the.tpl
files in each theme are re-read and copied into/public/templates
every time NodeBB restarts -- any changes made to/public/templates
will be overwritten!.You'll want to edit the
.tpl
files in nodebb-theme-vanilla or nodebb-theme-lavender instead.Additionally, Lavender doesn't contain all of the templates, as it is a child-theme of Vanilla, so modifying some of the templates in vanilla will mean they will also show in Lavender.
Your best bet is still just forking a theme and making your own changes. Directly modifying the files is not recommended

[nodebb-plugin-blog-comments] Blog Commenting Engine (Ghost, Wordpress widget)@a_5mith, it depends on the hook, but in general, if you have the uid, you'll be able to make a call to the Groups library to check for group membership, yes.
Where did you want to have this done?

Picture Upload@ekn33 Does this happen with the latest code from the repository?

[nodebb-plugin-imgshow] Nodebb Imgshow Plugin (Latest ver 0.0.14 20160706)@fyhao I guess it's not really an "image show" plugin anymore, is it

Ye Olde EnglishBy far, my favourite story when telling people about translations in NodeBB was from fairly early on in the project:
One very early adopter of NodeBB was a fan forum for the Kansas University Basketball Team. Their community, KUBuckets, grew very quickly, surpassing our own community support forum, and kickstarted our efforts to optimize NodeBB, as we had never really tested NodeBB at scale*.
