@TarkabarkaHolgy our school’s solution to that was to implement facial recognition. Which is creepy AF, IMHO.

Completely Useless Legislation, Exhibit A: -
Completely Useless Legislation, Exhibit A:@TarkabarkaHolgy It's not the law here, but it's something a lot of UK school are doing too, including my kids' school. The real kicker is that all their timetables, homework assignments, messages from teachers and so on are only available online, so they have no means of accessing them while on school property. The resulting chaos is incredible.

It's a shame that only ABBA had the cash reserves for something like the virtual live performance technology of Voyage. I'd rather see a vision of a band or artist at their zenith than a barely able to sing rip off that some are today (obvs some bands ...@emsquared That's the rub of it. It's a rare band that manages to age without basically turning into a Vegas cover band version of themselves.
Judas Priest seem to have pulled it off. Suede, too. The trick seems to be to still have something to say, and to make new music that is actually good.

I remember watching the lavishly-shot Depeche Mode concert film “Spirits in the Forest”, and just thinking “this is shit, this is a horrible performance”. Dave sounded like a Vic Reeves club singer, and Martin’s voice was all thin and reedy and cracked.

Like Aerosmith recently, who called it a day once it was confirmed that Steve Tyler's voice wasn't coming back from his throat surgery.
Much better to do that, than to go on past the point where they can reliably do a good job live (KISS and Depeche Mode, I'm looking at you).

Woke up in the middle of the night in a panic that I'd left a mini oven on overnight but couldn't get out of bed as I had sleep paralysis.@emsquared Really is. I'd love to know the science behind it.

In my case we were in Dublin because reasons and I was desperately trying to find a hotel because my Mrs was heavily pregnant and really needed the loo. Apparently hotels were the only places that had loos.
