[nodebb-plugin-desktop-notifications] Desktop Notifications (like GMail)This is great. Has anyone else noticed they get double notifications? I do, at least on these boards.
Good work thanks very much for this.

NodeBB anti spamAny updates on a recaptcha for sign ups? Had to delete a few users today - they didnt actually post anything but there were a few random signups that were clearly fake.
E-Mail verification on new accounts would be handy as well.

Paying for a plugin@bentael It would take the data from a custom field that the user can edit in their profile.
-
Paying for a plugin@bentael Right. In my case it calls out to an external API and takes some time to load anyway so I have it display an animated loading GIF until its ready to be displayed anyway.

Need a custom theme or plugin for NodeBB@psychobunny oops didn't see this till just now.

Paying for a pluginAnyone out there interested? I wanted to tackle it myself but these next few weeks are proving to be busier than I hoped, and having never worked with node or nodebb before this forum it might just be easier to have someone else do it for me.
Essentially I have a php page that when you query it like: example.php?name=blah, it returns content. I want that content being displayed in a mouseover tooltip which would be displayed in a button beside the users name on each post. Right now I have this working fine on a website using qTip (http://qtip2.com/), and I'm not sure if it would be as easy as taking that code an implementing it to work inside of nodeBB or not.
As an example, the above text "example" would be a custom profile that the user can edit, and that would trigger the qtip upon mouseover. The user can also select the color of the button from some presets (if possible).
If this is something you think would be reasonably affordable and you can do it, feel free to reply here then fire me a message. I'll give more details there on whats needed in terms of specifics, and show you my working example.
Thanks!

Custom profile fieldsAny plan on adding the ability to create custom profile fields? Or is the intention to allow users to do it via plugins?

Migrating to a different serverVery quick and painless indeed.
-
Migrating to a different server@baris Too easy.
Thanks for the reply. I feel like I'm asking too many questions here
-
Migrating to a different serverCurrently running on an EC2 micro instance, but I think I want to move it to a Digital Ocean droplet for the auto backup feature.
Is it just as straight forward as installing node/redis, copying over the folder and then downloading the db file and putting it on the new server?

Couple of questions@julian I did actually use git stash then git pop and my whole template was broken for some reason. I didn't spend enough time to figure out if it was caching issues as there's only like 3 lines I changed in 3 files so it was quick to recover from, but I was thinking for the future.
I did rename some of the categories to use them - however - my forum is only using 4 right now.
I'd suggest that the NodeBB install only come with 1 or 2 pre configured categories if you won't allow deletion of any existing ones. Can I delete them from the redis database in the meantime? They are all indeed empty.
-
Couple of questions@julian thanks.
-
Couple of questionsFirst - can I actually delete categories? I know I can disable, but because nodebb comes with so many pre-configured when I move topics things like that, all the disabled categories show up (but are greyed out).
After updating to 2.0, even though I backed up my .tpl files that I modified, restoring them just broke the layout. I had to actually re-edit the tpl files and put the changes I made back in to each file. I don't imagine there's an easy way to preserve template changes between versions/upgrades, etc?

I've tried git pull, says its up to date, I've even tried resetting it. Any advice on what to do while maintaining my config/posts would be great.

WYSIHTML5 instead MarkdownFor what it's worth, though it is not markdown - this is one of my favourites to work with lately:

Subscribe follow a forum@julian Ah, that will be awesome. Here I was thinking that my email server wasn't working or something but it turns out I'm just retarded.
Thanks.

Subscribe follow a forum@julian Great to hear. It's nice for certain forums to be able to get a notification if someone posts there or not.
Currently you'll get an e-mail if someone @mentions you, right?
