First, because I learned the results of the poll are highly inaccurate, and the real number of images with alt-text is around 35% (see this article: https://stefanbohacek.com/blog/alttexthealthcheck-image-accessibility-report-1/), which is much lower than I thought & nowhere near the results of the poll.
Second, because I only got 4 votes on bsky.
Well, at least I learned something!
