My development (Koding) VM is 3GB storage and what looks like 16gb of RAM (albeit not very reliable, but it works). Installed on Redis, but I'm seeing signs that mongoDB is the way to go in terms of scaling. Will be keeping a close eye on this thread as I get closer to a roll out date and ensure I get everything right first time.

Changes to Lavender theme - few issues.HI @julian,
I have attached the screenshot below, the mixes category is the one that's causing me issues. I have also included the raw HTML below so you can see how it's affecting the
p
tags. General discussion is how it should look. Ideally with the soundcloud embedded. But that's another issue I can deal with later. -
Changes to Lavender theme - few issues.Hey @julian
I can confirm it is something in the essentials plugins pack that's causing it. I've tried a few changes, but nothing I've done has helped. Everything after the embedded iframe falls outside of p tags, so I can't do anything with it.
From what I can work out, my options are to either stop the markdown from wrapping the raw URL in
<p>
tags. Or I add{categories.slug}
to the div class and create a custom css rule for the mixes recent posts to not show the preview on the homepage. 2nd option sounds easy enough, but the 1st would be preferred.I should really learn markdown. I'm struggling to do anything. I'm so used to BBcode coming from SMF.

Changes to Lavender theme - few issues.HI guys, I really like the Lavender theme, so have decided to modify it. One issue I'm having is with embeds appearing on the forum home page. I have the soundcloud embed tool active on a forum where people post mixes.
In home.tpl file:
<p>{categories.posts.content}</p>
The issue I'm having is that the embed is adding it's own paragraph tags. This causes the rest of the thread (the tracklisting) to fall outside of the paragraph tags inside home.tpl, and as such the max-height class associate with .post-preview p {} doesn't apply, I've looked in the soundcloud plugin, and it only adds the iframe from what I can see, so something else must be adding the paragraph tags.
In addition, is there anyway to actually have the soundcloud widget embed on this homescreen, rather than just showing the URL? Or any other alternatives?

Looking for a Xenforo alternativeGet in touch when Simple Machines appears on your roadmap, I've got a 24k posts db if you'd like to play with it. Unless someone has already managed this and would like to help me get mine done too, it's the only thing stopping me transferring over yesterday...

Ignoring Other MembersDefinitely need a way of allowing someone to place someone else on an ignore list.But a true ignore, as in, don't want to see anything about their post, can't be contacted by them, they don't exist type of ignore. Rather than it showing their post as "you've ignored this person"
Similar to how Xenforo works I guess.

Installed on Koding to test, few issues?@planner Koding give you a specific URL to use to access the VM. So it's currently 35hz.kd.io:4567 to access it.

[nodebb-plugin-blog-comments] Blog Commenting Engine (Ghost, Wordpress widget)Hi @psychobunny, what would the scope be to allow anyone who runs a blog to have this feature link to my own forum if I allow it (multiple allowed blogs in the NodeBB admin for example). I run a (rather large) music site, so would be great if my users could comment on other website blogs from my forum (which will soon be running NodeBB. ;))
Case:
Blog owner wants to integrate with my forum.
Blog owners posts get posted in a new thread on my forum.
Blog owner 2 also wants to integrate with my forum.
Blog owner 2s posts get posted in a new thread. etc etc.Thanks.

Installed on Koding to test, few issues?@planner I have it installed inside the Web folder of Koding under a mynodebb directory. I think a VM reboot cured everything. I can even change themes on the fly now which is nice. I'm having a play now, will join in the feature requests shortly.

Installed on Koding to test, few issues?On a brief update, I rebooted the entire VM on Koding using sudo reboot. Restarted nodebb with ./nodebb start and it has been fine since.

Installed on Koding to test, few issues?Hi, I'm really quite new to nodeBB, but when I saw some of the examples I had to give it a go. So, before actually purchasing with Digital Ocean, I've set up a test on Koding and have it all set up and working. However I have a few issues. I've bullet pointed them for ease.
- Can't change theme, says nodeBB is restarting, however suspect it's not as nothing happens.
- Installing Plugins, then going to the Plugin options within Admin gives me a 404 error. Plugins that came with nodeBB work fine.
- Can't create New Topics, create title, add text, click Submit, Submit box greys out, then nothing, however clicking Discard asks if I want to discard that post, as if it had actually posted.
I am using forever to keep nodebb up and running, should I disable this for testing purposes? (If someone could explain how here, that would be great.)
I'm a php developer by trade, so I'm very new to all this web 3.0 magic.
