Mutazione is a really great game, I'm a bit sad that's already the end but it was a sweet trip with Kai and all this weird and perfect village. I cried a little bit, because FEELS. Anyway, if you have the opportunity, don't hesitate to play.

So after all these years I finally played The Beginner's Guide and I'm really happy that I followed this advice a friend gave me years ago: "don't look up what this game is about before playing it".
This is an incredibly experience of gaming, as always I guess with Davey Wreden. I would love to recommend it to a lot of people but even if it's not as frustrating as Stanley's Parable, it's really hard. Not technically, but on another level.
The following may contain some spoilers.
——
You have to question yourself. Why you're playing, what do you like in video games or what do you expect of it.And emotionally, OMG. I saw some lines I could've said to some people, either as Coda or Davey, and that's one of the reasons this is so impactful.
——Anyway. I feel this one is going straight in my favorite games ever played.

I finished Superliminal, a game between The Stanley Parable and Portal, I guess?
It's very interesting how it challenges our perception and how you have to think from another perspective to resolve the puzzles. I liked it very much. -

https://mastodon.opportunis.me/@lila_bliblu/111595624804207455Assemble with Care is a little game I enjoyed because of the poetic vision on how to take care of some relationships through repairing objects.
The design is super sweet. It's a bit too much easy and short for me so I hope it'll have a sequel or something like this.By the same studio: Monument Valley is a really beautiful game too.

So I finally played Sable and it was a very peaceful and calming game.
I'm really new on platform stuff with a controller (I never really had any playstation, xbox or whatever) so it was a bit tricky in the beginning for me but then, I manage to explore this beautiful world. Some things are a bit frustrating but when you let it go, you can really enjoy the whole journey. I really liked it and I feel calm and peaceful when I think about it. -
A Little to the Left is a sweet puzzle game where you need to tidy up some things like a drawer or some papers or stuff like keys, plants, etc. Sometimes the cat comes to play with the things you are moving so you need to be careful. It's simple and relaxing, perfect for my ADHD.

I was a Teenage Exocolonist is a nice RPG/deckbuilding game I just finished. Deckbuilding is really not my type of games at all but the story, the design and the sweetness around all this universe was enjoyable. Also it's full of queer/political stuff sooooo.
-
Carto is a puzzle and exploration game where you're trying to find you Granny you've lost. You have to find some pieces of the map you're in to find clues and meet a lot of new places and people. It's sweet, sometimes frustrating but always beautiful.
-
In Say No! More, you're a new intern in a big corporate job and you learn to say no to people asking you to make coffee for example. It's a weird short game about boundaries and maybe how to connect with you colleagues more than just doing a shitty job just to be in a powerful position.
-
Unravel 2 is a platform coop game where you play this little creature made of yarn who is physically linked to another one, played by another player. Together you progress and navigate through beautiful worlds, following the misadventures of teenagers.
Even if the story doesn't play a central role in the characters progress, the emotion is still quite present, and the overall fluidity of the game is impressive: the smoothness of the moves, but also the possibilities for not getting completely stuck, are particularly appreciated.

Manifold Garden is an indie puzzle game absolutely incredible.
Something between Portal and Superliminal, maybe? Gorgeous, peaceful, and if you like Maurits Cornelis Escher aesthetic this is for you. You have to solve the puzzles by exploring geometrical spaces and play with gravity.Smart move: each plan is linked with a color and a sound.

In TOEM you're a photographer and you need to find clues through your lens to progress through the game. It is funny and beautiful, another game I enjoyed a lot. I'm not into the sound design here but graphic design is sweet and poetic.

In Papers, Please you need to check people papers to let them enter your city or not.
I played it for maybe less than 45min and stopped. It was awful because of the whole idea to refuse people into the city but also because of my ADHD: you have to check a LOT of things to let them enter or not.
I hated it, and I guess it's the whole point of the game.

No Longer Home is a queer adventure game where you follow the story of Bo an Ao. I don't know if we can call it a game because you almost just follow their thoughts on everything. Like an interactive story. They're moving so they are at a turning point in their lives and reflect on everything. I guess it's a game about saying goodbye to an old life. So it's kind of depressing sometimes but still nice if you like to dive in that kind of process.

Land of Screens is an indie game where you're Holland, trying to get through a recent breakup while avoiding social medias and spending quality time with people she likes.
The game is very short and easy, also the visual design is sweet. I get the whole point about the screens and how addictive this can be but there is no counterpoint about that and it's a bit sad I think?
-
Unpacking is a sweet little game where you basically follow your character as she grows while you unpack the boxes and tidy up the places as the story unfolds. Very sweet, not much long, and peaceful.
-
Old Man's Journey is a short little puzzle game, absolutely gorgeous and peaceful. A bit repetitive but if you just want to see beautiful digital paintings along the way, this is for you.
-
Girls Like Robots is a puzzle game where you need to put some tiles together but sometimes they like each other, sometimes, they don't.
It's completely absurd and fun in a way? Weeeeird. -
Overcooked! 2 is a cooperative game (1 to 4 players) where you have to cook together in some very interesting kitchens. Sometimes things are moving or disappear, you need to be fast so it can be super frustrating.
You can also play it solo and switch between two chefs. It can be a good exercise to learn how to let go when levels of stress and frustration are high. This is my third time and it gets better, I guess?
