One of the things I do: take a bunch of glutinous rice (not the sweet kind), toast them without oil until brown and they smell like popcorn, pound into a powder called ‘khao krua’
Then I use it in northeast Thai dishes like various sauces, but I really also add it in everything for a slight crunch and added savory flavor
I love adding it to a potato salad

@skinnylatte OMG yes, toasted glutinous rice is so delicious. I discovered this when learning to make some Lao dishes.
I should add it to a potato salad!! Hadn't thought about that!
