@killyourfm was that a replacement battery or the original? I replaced my Kindle's battery and it lasted maybe 3 months. It died of sudden death. The Kindle normal behaviour is to switch the e-paper screen to a logo of a battery or something when it needs recharging. But in this case it didn't even realise the battery needed charging, so it died with one of the generic pictures the screen shows when it's off. Now I'm not sure where to buy a safe battery.

@Disputatore It was a new battery. I'm just stunned at electronics staying charged for that long. It seems like every modern device has extreme battery drain.
