One of the cool things doctors would do back in the early 20th century was they'd organize boutique practices for entire workers unions coming out of their medical training.

Unions would get the benefit of an uptodate modern-trained doctor at a fair distributed price.

Doctors would get to practice with an underclass in need, bust their chops, & not have to try to compete for the business of the Gilded class with established doctors.

I think about that sometimes when it comes to cooperatives.
