@woozle FWIW, I'm inclined to argue that Synthetic Man's path in life has been remarkably similar to Chris-chan's. He's only doing better than she is because he missed a few random misfortunes that hit her hard. But both of their warped worldviews are the result of protofascist trolls forming a sort of gawk-club type of fan-club, and exerting pressures to make their lives worse for the amusement of the gawkers.
