to be fair i rarely ever receive abuse reports for them and when i do translate their posts i don't see anything concerning it's not like i just ignore them im not pawoo

i kinda can't really kick out the Germans because this instance was originally German and we had German speaking admins. not going to erase that history i'll just make do with what i got i am surrounded by German speakers who have helped me on various occasions when i encounter an issue.

@[email protected] Machine translation struggles so much with Japanese. if you’re trying to get a general idea of what was said, it’s okay, but so much of Japanese is contextual and many times words or even grammar points that are understood by all sides of the conversation get left off.
Like I might be talking about my mom and in that context say “is a teacher” and in context you know I mean my mom but a translator app might put “I am a teacher”
It’s honestly a really cool part of Japanese to me, but it makes it hard for a machine that doesn’t follow the context. -
