    Hello,

    I'm looking into moving our gaming guild to nodebb but to do so I'm looking for a feature that is something like an approval system for new users.
    Among the lines of: New user fills a form and existing users can ask questions so the new applicant can answer to those before he gets the approval to join.

    If you know guildwork.com - it as this type of approval system - for those who want to take a look there you can create a new account without email verification to see how this could look like from the backend.

    If you can, yes... that would work if you had the session uuid, which you might not.

    Essentially, when you use SSO to log in a user via a third-party authenticator, NodeBB is maintaining that session, not the other site. That's why it's not assumed behaviour that if you log out of the other site, that you also log out of NodeBB.

    If the user wants to log out of the forum, they'd have to log out themselves via the NodeBB logout button.

    That said, in the end the logout is literally just a POST request... so in your site, you could code in a XHR that calls POST https://your.nodebb.site/logout and that would log out the user 馃槃

    Just post something in the forum. That's it's purpose. To get that notification out to forum members.

    Transliteration for users

    There are third party services that would enable me to do this in my forum, by the way. This one, for example: https://gisttransserver.in/Help/help.pdf

    The above one or any other such services out there require me to include scripts in the places where the transliteration needs to be invoked.

    Unfortunately, the way NodeBB is made makes it very hard to identify where the text editor is triggered from and to figure out how to place the script as required by the third party services.

    So, we're essentially lost.

    @paopevil I tried that and it added some strange code to my registration page. Doesn't look like it can be easily customized either.

    Does anyone have some sort of tutorial on how to use it?

    Editing the post is open to the OP so moderator messages could be faked or changed. Moderator comments would be a fairly good way to put it perhaps, but they would be surfaced as part of the OP not further down the reply thread.
