Is it possible to hotlink images to user walls. I don't want alot off files stored but hotlink would be great. Plugin? Core feat?

@luukholleman I think it will all depend on how skilled you are in Javascript. NodeBB has an inbuilt api so shared user authentication will be rather easy.

Because of the API, Your chats / notifications should be able to be done rather easily too. Just need to get the user to login via nodebb's login then you can pull notifications. How you do that is up to you and how you make it notify is also up to you.

Nodebb as the forum link. Yeah thats easy. Put nodebb in a dir of "forums" and then just link to it 😛

Moving away from php is a good idea and seeing as nodebb and angular both use node.js it looks like you are going with the right forum software.

Well... If you already have NodeBB running on port 80 without nginx/Apache proxy, then you can not assign another service on the port as well. I recommend you to set up an nginx/Apache proxy for NodeBB and create virutal hosts for each service you want to run on port 80 (this way you can run multiple services/sites on port 80).

Hi folks,

I used the 2.4 proxy instructions from the docs. But it's not working correctly for me. I assume because I want the proxy to only work on '/community'.

Here's my current setup:
I have a proxy here: https://openrct2.com/community (HTTPS) NodeBB actually runs on: http://delia.limetric.com:4567/community/ (just normal HTTP)
The proxy itself works great, but socket.io keeps complaining about not being able to connect using websockets: "WebSocket connection to 'wss://openrct2.com/community/socket.io/?EIO=3&transport=websocket&sid=OORktGqFRszzHMQNAAWr' failed: Error during WebSocket handshake: Unexpected response code: 400"

What should I change to my config to make websockets work correctly?
