It has been about a year since I develop a nodebb plugin. I would like to get into plugin development again to add a few features to my makerspace community forum. I know that plugin APIs must have changed a bit since then. Is the developer documentation the best place to start looking to get up to date information about the latest patterns and API's we can use? Are there any other resources I should look at that would help me get up to speed again?

Hi @avan-sardar, welcome!

find a topic based on uid and a custom session ID

Is this a requirement? If your plugin is listening for something like action:post.save, then you can process the stripe payment.

The action hook itself also sends the post data, which contains the pid and tid. Without more context, I am afraid I will not be able to help further.

Hi!

I wrote a plugin for OpenLDAP.
It overrides the default login and falls back to local login if the user is not found in LDAP.
It also creates all groups found in LDAP and automatically joins the user into them.
Using it as an alternative login is not implemented as I couldn't figure it out quick enough. It should be easy to do - feel free to add a pull request.

The source is on github. Pull requests are welcome!
Please be kind, my JavaScript skills are limited.

Hi guys,
I used ./nodebb dev to develop my first plugin, everything worked smoothly, but when I activated it in production, the server didn't started at all with this error:
