I am trying to do the same thing. I change the timestamp in mongoDB, but it has no effect on the frontend.
Ps.: I changed the timestamp on topic, post and topics:recent.
Anyone can help me?
I have a digital ocean droplet with Ubuntu. When I created the droplet, I used 32 bit kernel but then changed the kernel in the droplet settings. Since the kernel change ufw stopped working throwing some iptables error. Anyone know how to fix it?
Yikes, changing from 32-bit to 64-bit kernel via the DO dropdown is definitely unsupported (even though they give you the option).
When we talked to support about it, they suggested re-deploying the server from scratch...
@julian thanks for saving my time. I was thinking about talking to DO support about this. I will re-create the droplet from scratch then. I have the NodeBB backup and it's just a test site for the theme anyway.
Are there any free alternatives for hosting NodeBB? I am not sure if I want to pay every month just for hosting the demo site for a free theme.
For a low traffic forum, no reason why you can't run multiple NodeBBs at the same time
I'd turn on swap though
@pichalite We can talk about putting a demo site on my server, though uptime wont be fully 100%.
@julian I am not running any other active forums or DO droplets to move the demo site to. I have a DO account just for the demo site. I will delete the droplet once I install it for free some where else.
