My own issue with #activitypub is there doesn't seem to be a way to host static website, which I'm slowly gravitating more to.

@lwflouisa @smallcircles You can do interoperable read-only ActivityPub with static files (and a little bit of web server configuration for the activity content type and WebFinger URL rewriting).
The biggest problem is that people can't follow you. But they can pull up your profile or individual posts in their AP clients and even boost them. But you won't know about it since you can't receive the information that a boost (or a like, or a follow) happened. Does that still count?

@risottobias At the moment having to rely on Github pages for a podcast on a static website.
Owncast ( or is it Ownpod? ) seems like it has a lot of steps involved just to use a Docker image.
