Any Xiaomi/MIUI users?

Hey all,

Just putting a general call out to see if there are any NodeBB users on Xiaomi devices, on either MIUI 6 or 7.

Would love to know how the developing world's up and coming smartphone maker handles NodeBB

I know someone with an elephone. But it's stock android. So probably works fine.

I'm looking at a Huawei P8 Max and the Huawei Smartwatch as a gift to myself for kalikkimaka (Christmas for those that don't speak hawain) but they're pretty much android as well.

Yes, one of my moderators uses NodeBB on his Redmi Note. Otherwise I am the counterpart to it - Flyme.

For him and me NodeBB works alright.

@AOKP Great! Has he noticed any issues browsing NodeBB? I'm getting periodic lockups on Chrome, so I'm not sure whether it's just my particular phone, or something with the OS itself.

How's it run on Flyme?

@julian well, despite Flyme being buggy shit itself, it works nicely.
And for MIUI it depends on your phone and the version (international or chinese one).

As far as he told me everything works like it should be.

Occasionally, my phone switches to Chinese, it's... fun

But I don't have cruftware and I have the Play Store, so I'm thinking I have the Global ROM.

Would have been if my phone had it in its dictionary and didn't keep autocorrecting it to hawain. After 3 attempts to spell it and my phone changing it I just hit post.

Oh autocorrect... one time I misspelled "Thanks" as "Thabks", and now it's in the dictionary, taunting me.

From what I've heard, Global ROM is superior :trollface:

Really wanted to try getting Cyanogenmod on it, but no firmware for Mi4i released yet...

@julian yeah, you lack free MIUI music, movies and all other cool Xiaomi features. I wonder if you even have a theme store.

But then again, you seem to be a beginner with these sort of things, so be careful. People break their devices easily if they have no confidence nor experience.

Yeah I'm a total beginner, with no time to learn how to properly flash my device, so I might just stick with MIUI

I have a theme store, but if I click anywhere, the language resets to Chinese , none of the themes really appeal to me, personally.
