@RazorAxis good plugin idea!
Currently, if you have multiple categories with the same name it can be very difficult and confusing to differentiate them. It would be great to have some way to distinguish which categories are where.
See picture below:
I think it would be better to make the movement topic as fork and post/move - specify the id category for moving topics.
This is conveniently if the forum uses a large number of categories.
Just curious as to why you would want multiple categories with the same name?
We allow this, due to our nosql nature but I'm thinking we probably shouldn't...
@psychobunny I can explain why since I done that sort of stuff before, when I still had a multigaming community including varous servers across different games. People arnt interested of scrolling through a entire list of announcements (even if there pinned) So to solve that dilemma we made more then one announcement category for all services we hosted.
Also to solve this giant mess of a ui(no offense) it might work out to make a list
That modal was built way before we had subcategories. We can change it so it displays as a tree.
@baris I think a tree view would be awesome. I think if you have that many categories, tags may be better (although you'd then need a way to sort or filter by tag)
@baris That would be awesome and would help us greatly!
