SOLVED How to add Recent Topics to homepage?

Is it possible to add Recent Topics to the homepage, just above Categories? If so, how can it be done?

The screenshot below is the NodeBB homepage showing an example of what I'd like to achieve.

@henrywright NodeBB community page is using a plugin called nodebb-plugin-recent-cards. Install the plugin if you are using persona.
