@agusputra I agree with your suggestion about helper buttons. The open source project Rocket Chat has an unobtrusive way of hinting basic Markdown syntax.
Simply a line of greyed text that becomes regular text on mouseover
It might be useful to have something like this at the bottom of the editor input field.
Don't think my composer is working correctly.
I've run into some issues with the past update that lead to composer issues as well.
With that said everything has been working, but just noticed composer is not working correctly.
First: I have no Icons above the computer ie BOLD etc...
Second the life preivew does not seem to work
I just disabled composer-default and installed and enabled composer-redactor
This seems buggy as well.
Noticed I can NOT type in the box normally if I click on the code view then can type fine. (Safari)
On chrome this seems to work fine. However on both of these the preview seems buggy and speraticly worked.
Did you cleared your cache?

Browser cache, yes I do all the time.
I've just tried disabling all plugins and the problem is still there..
Even jump back and forth between safari and chrome for testing.

@tfraley you are missing the markdown plugin. Install the plugin nodebb-plugin-markdown and it should work.
npm i nodebb-plugin-markdown
Thanks @pichalite for all the help last night.

I did all of these steps but none seem to work for my problem which emerges when trying to populate the composer from text that generated through a modal window. The text gets written in the left area, but the markdown preview on the right just doesn't show anything until I press "ENTER" or any other key.
@shanji97 share your code please
