I actually spent an entire day making nodebb IE8 compatible. this day was about 6 months ago though.... waiting for github issue before going out of my way again ;D
In April 2014, Microsoft will be ending support for Windows XP, which means the end of support for the operating system most of Internet Explorer 8 users use.
Also google will drop support for IE8: http://googleappsupdates.blogspot.ch/2012/09/supporting-modern-browsers-internet.html
I am ready and happy to say goodbye IE6, IE7 and now IE8...
They are still releasing virus signature updates for XP up until 2015. This might put people into a false state of security.Even though updates and security patches will be stopped I still think people will carry on using XP for a few more years. Its probably best to still cater to the people using it.
