I'm search for a nice theme and tested some...
Lavender looks nice, but why some topic options (found in vanilla theme like topic notifications, topic voting and quote icon)?
It seems themes doesn't support all the NodeBB (basic?) features?
This is what I got:
Can u point out how I can make the window resizable? I need the text area to have a scroll bar and the whole window be able to be resized when using a mouse.
@Ziggy theme updated for NodeBB v0.7.3
@pichalite : I am so glad. Thank you so much. It works like a charm!!!
Good day guys,
I've come across 2 issues not sure if they're totally related to the theme.
First, it seems I can not Logout from the front end
Profile pic top right, select logout (does nothing)
Log out in backend works fine
In thread list view if I click on a post more button it drops down behind the Tools and reply buttons
Looks like 0.8.1 came out today and seems like the top menu gets kicked to the side and login and register links presiste even after logged in https://community.nodebb.org/topic/6435/updated-to-0-8-1/5
@tfraley will be updating the theme soon. Let you know once that's done
thus this support ads placement?
@rnovino Basically any skin supports ad placement, through the widget system. It just comes down to orientation. On my site, I have one adaptive ad sense block at the bottom, but that should roughly show how ads are placed. Just hit widgets inside your ACP under Extend -> Widgets, Drag an HTML widget to the location you want it, then place your adsense or project wonderful code within the widget. Finally, choose a container style and drag that onto the container portion of the widget.
@Arc do you have screenshots on the other possible location of the ads other than the ads at the bottom, I am planning to use this theme also
@rnovino I'm afraid not- however it shouldnt be hard to test out. Just create a widget on your local host test forum in each position. If you dont have a localhost test forum, its really easy to set up as well.
There is also a glitch with user profile link. Logged in user still get register link rather than profile link
@amansubhan if you are using the theme on NodeBB 0.8.0+ then you will have to wait for the theme to be updated. Working on updating it now.
Awesome work as always @pichalite
@pichalite how to change group cover in your theme?
@8bitard you can't right now. I left that part out (don't remember why). Will add it soon.
@pichalite Purely out of curiosity and lack of a change log, and not at all to rush you (Take your time, no rushes at all), has the chat UI been updated in this newest version? Its hard to tell as the only sites running this skin that I firmly know the URLs of are yours and mine, and yours is running a custom version so its hard to tell what's in the newest version or not.
@Arc no the chat UI redesign is not complete. Been busy lately and could not find time to work on it. With all the breaking changes going on in the core I am probably going to hold off working on it until NodeBB reaches v1.0.
pichalite.com is running on the latest version of nodebb-theme-material and not a custom version right now.
@pichalite Fair enough, Thanks for letting me know!
Just finished the css editing to fit my requirements and having a more interesting view.
just one thing stoped working while switching to material theme.
I use the nodebb-plugin-editor-plus to give easy access to the known spoiler function. But somehow it does not show up as expandable spoiler. it just shows the full text. Any experience or suggestions on this?
