Ah okay, cool stuff so far man. Keep up the good work!
Thanks man. I am not a UI designer but I am trying to learn in the process.
Love this theme to death- Any chance we can get ink effects on the front page tiles in a future version?
@Arc looks nice. Let me see if I can incorporate that in to the theme.
@Arc check out the demo site. Categories page is now redesigned.
Feedback is welcome.
Awesome- this new update is gonna be huge! I had been working on something similar on my own implementation but yours blows mine clear out of the water.
As for feedback:
2 things for mobile users:
Right now, the awesome new categories view on your site doesn't scale down to small screens as cleanly as the current one- it shows two cards per row at minimum. Maybe have it drop down to single card rows below a certain screen size for smart phone users.
Again for mobile users, making the whole card tappable might help.
How it is now:
Other then that, cant wait for this update to roll out. Absolutely love its looks!
@Arc I changed the number of categories to show per row to be based on the setting in the ACP -> Manage -> Categories -> Edit screen. I just changed it on the demo site to only show one on mobile.
Background colors and background images for category cards are also based on ACP settings.
Making the whole card clickable is on the list of TODO's. I will get to it at some point.
Theme updated for NodeBB v0.7.2. Categories page is now redesigned. The delayed display animation on the categories page can be disabled from the theme settings page in ACP.
Great look, I love the way login and register looks. Is it possible to get that as a separate plugin?
Again, awesome job..
I had no luck with the theme. The text go on one the side and the title on the other. On a small screen, it's worse. What should I do?
Update: I deleted my browser data, and it got fixed. Maybe the browser got confused because I had another theme before it?
@pichalite : This is so beautiful! Thanks a million times!
Does this theme work only in Chrome? My Firefox 39 and IE 10 aren't showing any content other than the navbar and the footer on the homepage:
@Ziggy it was a css issue. thanks for letting me know. works now.
@pichalite: I am glad you fixed it!
I have a question....
I want to use the traditional icons as what we have for upvote and downvote. How can i edit in your theme and replace the thumb up and thumb up icons?
@Ziggy change these two lines to use fa-chevron-up and fa-chevron-down instead of fa-thumbs-o-up and fa-thumbs-o-down
@pichalite: Thank you very much. You are awesome! I just did and I am now ready to roll!. This is the best looking theme EVER!
Theme, is working great, Suggestion for next update.
Add category tiles to SUB Categories.
So if you're within a category you can have the tiles like on the home page for the sub-categories
I have noticed that the weight of the font specified is not the one that is being displayed. So far, the font on Material is thick (which is above 400) because it was not imported. although you used it.
I adjusted it on my local machine, and I could spot the difference:
Before including 400 in the import list:
After including 400 in the list:
@Ziggy good catch. will fix it in next update.
Anyway, in next update we can add a link next to it this way we can link to our TOS?
@pichalite At the moment while shrinking the screen as described in my earlier post works great on your demo site, on actual deployed sites it still attempts to fit two tiles into a tiny smartphone screen. Is there a setting or something I'm missing, or is that fix not deployed yet?
