I recommend nodebb-plugin-ns-awards. It works well for giving badges.
It can't do anything automatic yet, but I think that might be planned for the future.
@quahfamili you may have to clear your browser cache to see it
var logo = $('.forum-logo').attr('src');
I don't want to use the forum logo, can I use a custom image for this?
maybe in the future I could add a way to upload a new picture. for now you could just take that line and replace it with any valid url ex.
var logo = 'http://domain.com/image.png';
Ooo yeah that works.
damn desktop notifications! haha. this is going to get annoying eventually
Hah, perhaps in the future.
thanks! will install tonight
This is great. Has anyone else noticed they get double notifications? I do, at least on these boards.
Good work thanks very much for this.
@theepiphany Yes, I am seeing those too (and it's a little more annoying on Linux, as they do not auto-fade).
hmmmm, I wonder if its because you have two windows open
@psychobunny nope, that is the first thing i checked.
@psychobunny Update to this: I've noticed duplicate notifications and old notifications popping up when I have two different nodebb forums open. Ie - this one and mine. I got a reply to a post on my forum and two notifications from this one also popped up - even though they were not new.
For some reason i have enabled the notifications plugin but i do not get prompted whether to allow notifications or not?
@xCausxn I initially had that issue, forgot what I did to get it working. Try restarting server, clearing cache?
Done that multiple times now
What browser are you using? Desktop notifications won't work on older browsers and probably any version of IE that gets released in the next 20 years
For some reason its working fine now, ive always had Latest versions of chrome and firefox
Is there a magic trick to get these working on Android? I've got a Galaxy S4 running Android 4.4.2 KitKat. Logged in using Chrome, don't get any push notifications. Does it only work on default browser?
