Did you setup Redis on your server already? Make sure it's updated to the latest version?
-
Redis is already setup on the server but it is the version 2.6.10...i can't update redis on my own, because i don't have the rights. is there maybe another solution? i'll ask the host if he can update redis. thanks for the help.
-
Hey @mono, your redis version should be fine. NodeBB should work with even Redis 2.4.
Can you make sure that your redis instance is running?
-
my redis instance is running. my host told me now that i have to adress redis through the socket, didn't know that.
-
Right-o, then instead of putting 127.0.0.1 as the host, just use the socket address.
-
yep. that worked
-
(clap) enjoy your new NodeBB!
-
Yep. Now it's installed. But still have some issues with the htaccess file.
I don't really get that. What do I have to write into the htaccess file?
Right now I have:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule ^nodebb/(.*) http://localhost:65532/$1 [P]And I get this and the links don't work.

@mono Have you been able to solve the last issue? Right now I' trying to install nodebb on uberspace, too. I got it working until I get to the output which is shown in your screenshot. It looks like the nodebb task can find the stylesheet etc:

Did you find a solution?
Thanks

I got it to work... I changed the .htaccess to
RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^forum.example.com RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://localhost:61111/$1 [NC,P,L]
and the config.json to
{ "url": "http://forum.example.com", "port": "61111", "secret": "###", "database": "redis", "redis": { "host": "/home/###/.redis/sock", "password": "", "database": "0" } }
