"We shouldn’t let the other unseemly aspects of Trump’s behavior at one of America’s most sacred places obscure the fact that rank misogyny is the lifeblood of this authoritarian crusade to retake the White House, and that contempt for women saturates everything they do."

“If there’s one thing you can usually rely on Republicans for, it’s to be very good at coming up with political attacks against women and people who aren’t white. That’s sort of their sweet spot. I still haven’t completely gotten my head around the scope of their failure here.”

What this tells me is that Trump’s owners have abandoned the Boomers and focused their efforts on poisoning generations of young voters. They’re pissing in the well and seeding the next 60 years with incel grievance politics, hoping that Bonesaw, Space Karen & the Self-Loathing Gay will be able to buy world domination eventually.

Republican billionaires fund the misogyny and racism. Deliberately.

That was Donald Trump watching the Democratic National Convention, wheezing in impotent rage at those uppity, nasty women, and all those people determined to elect Kamala Harris. The Party of Misogyny (you know them as Republicans) simply cannot process the possibility a woman, a chick, a human with a vajayjay! might become the most powerful person on the planet.

@mckra1g Well-noted. I think you're right: they see a growing trend of young men to turn hard right (a turn driven by raw misogyny), and they thinkk that they can cut into the usual pro-Democratic youth vote by continuing to appeal to and radicalize misogynistic young men. And what shame for the self-loathing rich gay man to invest in all of this!
