How do I redirect sso-* plugins after successful log in to a custom route instead of homepage /

This is an old post, but have you found a solution? I have the exact same problem. I need a new user to be redirected to profile edit page to enter the email address.

Hey, get ready to be confused @frissdiegurke -- there's a third type of hook, rounding out the behaviours 😆
action hooks are, as @Mega describes, fired when something happens, and NodeBB doesn't care about the response. filters are fired when plugins might change things. The majority of hooks in NodeBB are filters. static hooks are fired when you need NodeBB to wait until your plugin is complete in order to do something. There is only one static hook available right now: static:app.load, which is fired on startup.
In this case, since the post is already slated to be deleted, but you want to do something before it is deleted... we may want to consider adding a new hook called static:post.purge.

I am writing like plug-in, which provides an like functionality for anonymous as well as registered user.
1. Anonymous User should be able to like on any comment/reply and I have to restrict anonymous user via IP address.
Yet, I can store IP values to redis database, I need to find out, The given IP value is present in "like:pid" hash set.
I need to write query structure which finds out the given anonymous users IP address is not present in database for that particular post.

I don't think we have that documentation right now, couple months ago I started a doc in the github wiki about the db structure but I don't think it got moved over to the docs website.

Either way the best way to store your plugin data is to prefix the name of your keys with the plugin id so it doesn't conflict with other plugins.

Also you need to be careful to not break any of the core objects, ie if you delete the key users:joindate you will have problems.

Ok I made some progress, I'm connected to the api, however the video code doesn't work.

The code in the templates file is

And what comes out, is
<div class="row"><a href="Correct URL">Correct URL</a></div>
So it's connecting, but there seems to be an issue with running the video aspect of this, it's definitely not my browsers as I'm using Canary & Firefox 30.0. So one of the two fallbacks should work. All I get in Chrome is ::before and ::after either side of the link.
