@joe-morris Yes, for simplicity, the guide does not cover setting up a dedicated user for MongoDB.
Those specific instructions can be found in our more technical installation instructions here: https://docs.nodebb.org/installing/os/ubuntu/
@a_5mith Is that Harold Saxon?
The second shortlist:
Lesson learned: Our rules for this plugin contest were not adequately codified or communicated to developers. What rules, you ask? Exactly.
In the interest of keeping everything civil and inclusive, we'll be making broad exceptions to submissions that don't satisfy the published in October || commits in October || NodeBB thread made in October
rule.
Next contest will be a rule-fest, just you wait
@julian How do we vote? Or is that coming?
We'll start a poll tomorrow morning
Really impressive, I did not realize there were so many high quality submissions, good luck to everyone! Well, I will win a tshirt, right?
On a related note, how long will the voting last?
Also, are we allowed to publish updates to our plugin/theme based on feedback we got or bugs that we find, while the voting is in process?
@julian I noticed in the "short list" that there is an incorrect link to my plugin:
@mani, plugin-github-card, https://community.nodebb.org/topic/2788/who-is-in-plugin
@julian Simon Pegg
Would you mind linking the Github pages, instead of the NodeBB posts?

By next year, I hope there is some type of competition as far as themes go, I'll just stand on the sidelines while Tanner collects his prizes! Next year (if we do this again) I won't let such an easy win slip by like that again... Congrats Tanner, you've earned it.
And Technowix that sounds like an excuse lol.

You'd better not sit on the sidelines next time. Looking forward to the challenge!
