i've switched over to the #Yankees #Royals game. it's Kansas City 3, New York 2; top of the 4th.
Gerrit Cole is pitching for the Yankees. i've always been amused by Gerrit. he's got a bit of that "i got people in my freezer" energy whenever he gets on that mound, LOL

BTW whilst watching Ken Burns' #baseball documentary i realized that:
- the Detroit #Tigers & Pittsburgh #Pirates have been around for over 100 years!
- there was a minor league team in Montreal called the Royals. they were the first #MLB team desegregated by Jackie Robinson PRIOR to joining the Brooklyn #Dodgers. now am wondering if they're the same team that's now in Kansas City
- do not know why cuz i wasn't even born when they moved, but *I* call them the Brooklyn Dodgers to this day

am so not as emotionally invested in the Yankees as i am with the Mets even though both have been excellent teams these past few years.
i do not know if this makes sense, but i don't like their tempo. there's a rhythm to the Mets at bats that just hits different. also the Dodgers. i think Yankees have changed their lineup so many times that i dont get a sense of anticipation the way i do with the Mets and Dodgers.
