By far, my favourite story when telling people about translations in NodeBB was from fairly early on in the project:
One very early adopter of NodeBB was a fan forum for the Kansas University Basketball Team. Their community, KUBuckets, grew very quickly, surpassing our own community support forum, and kickstarted our efforts to optimize NodeBB, as we had never really tested NodeBB at scale*.

Thanks for sharing.
I feel our case is going to be like KUBuckets, as our forum is kind of Large. May be a challenge for NodeBB.
Actually, I'm trying to figure out now if NodeBB is going to scale enough for us.
I'll post our case on General Questions to get insight from you on this matter.
Thanks!
Curious to know what their database specs are, like which one they use (Redis or Mongo) and how much size it takes up (in memory if Redis, disk space if Mongo). I have a forum a little bigger than theirs that I am considering migration to NodeBB with.
@luke I use Redis on a forum with 26,000 posts in about 2,000 topics and 500 members and growing.
Used Memory 66.15M
You'll be fine.
@a_5mith wow dang, looks like Redis is definitely the way to go.
@luke Well the size of the data never changes, but I wanted speed, then when it starts hitting limits, I'll just put more money into it.
@a_5mith Sounds good. The forum I'm looking to convert is dead in terms of activity and I don't expect it to pick up anytime soon, so that works.
