As long as Lightsail doesn't limit the capabilities of their VPS, I don't see why it would be any different from a normal install on Ubuntu.
yeah, it's identical. LightSail ends up being exactly like a DO or Vultr.
@baris please add us too
We are nearing our fifth anniversary on NodeBB and we still constantly get compliments that the site is so screaming fast and responsive and makes interacting a pleasure. It's been a great journey so far and we just keep growing.
Kaas is the dutch word for cheese.
We use the persona theme with a few CSS changes
-- We removed all avatars and profile pictures on the community, so it looks clean.
-- We have only a dark theme with grey font and yellow links.
-- We have full readable numbers (not 1k or 1m, but 1000 and 1000000)
-- We use this composer edit.
-- Pictures in quotes are made smaller.
-- The Navbar is 100% witdh.
-- We use the tag bars on our homepage. (here is the CSS/JS code).
Just checked the list in OP and these sites are down or not using NodeBB anymore.

@MJ Thanks!! I've pruned the list and moved Mangolassi up a whole bunch
ML is actually slated for a rebranding in May. The old name will keep working, but something more obvious and searchable will be used.
I've launched my forum recently, plenty of work to do, but hopefully a good start: https://wewin.ru/
Just want to add my german „Fortnite Forum“ to the list... https://lamapedia.de .
@fais3000 This is nice, I used to go on imdbs forums a lot for movie discussions.
@fais3000 Looks good. It might be a good alternative to IMDB forums.
@baris Yea, me too. It was a bummer when they removed it. That's why we think there should a place to discuss movies and also integrated with some kind of structure so you can get posters, trailers etc automatically. Nodebb seems to be the best solution for this kind of integration.
@fais3000 awesome, will check it out!
