[nodebb-plugin-pushbullet] Push Notifications for NodeBB
@julian Hello do you think Pushbullet could be used also bi-directionally? I mean, could it be used to push a message to nodebb?
In future, do you think PB could be used to reply to a message on the fly? Something like whatsapp.
@Giorgio-Chiodi That would require an appllication wouldn't it? Especially on mobile. As it's literally just a notification, you have to action it. So unless Pushbullet added that, I can't see it happening, what I would like to see is configurable action buttons below the notification on Android for example, the share and copy are a bit, generic. Reply and Mark Read would be cool though, which just takes you to thread and quote.
@a_5mith It doesn't necessarily need an application for now, data could be pushed via a service like IFTTT - I'm thinking about twitter and facebook updates and other services.
do... what? I like the idea of making it accessible to all, but not sure how it would be easily implemented. Bear in mind people have to set this all up.
@a_5mith I'm actually thinking more along the lines of
if new twitter update (maybe the official website account)
then push it to pushbullet, which in turn it pushes it to nodebb
It could also be used so that every user could have their social network status updates on nodebb via pushbullet (on their profile pages or something)
@Giorgio-Chiodi This would probably be more easily achieved using something other than pushbullet. But I'm not sure, I would like to add more social stuff to the profiles, so +1 for something like this.
Pushbullet Notification Settings can't be saved?
Each time I load the settings page here service seems to be disabled?
After NodeBB 0.5 is released any plans to release the Pushbullet plugin?
Sorry, my bad...
Works fine with Firefox!
Used Qupzilla to test it g
Some problems with Qupzilla browser like Pushbullet save problem, missing spoiler plugin editor button, ...
Is it possible to send only one push notification for one topic? Also if more than one answers written?
One notification for each post (also if posted to only one topic) is some days to much g
@pwFoo Agreed -- at current, the underlying library (Pushbullet) doesn't support that, although they're looking into implementing it...
Could notifications devided into a notification manager (should a notification be send?) at nodebb side and a notification gateway (for example pushbullet) to really send a message?
@julian is this plugin still premium?
@Kacper-Domański oh good lord I forgot about open sourcing it! Let me get right on that..!
@julian Updated OP for you
Has this been verified on v0.5.2-dev?
Can't seem to get OAuth working. What should "origin" field be set to when creating client keys?
@hek Err, actually, you know what, I haven't been getting pushes to my phone lately, but I think that might be because I got a new phone...

I haven't been getting any pushes either (and haven't changed my )
@fuzzmz Looking into it now mhmmmm
v1.1.1 published, should be fine on latest NodeBB now
After adding 1.1.1 I still get a 404 on the "/pushbullet/auth" url on the forum. So unless pushbullet does a POST request (which nodebb picks up) something still seems to be wrong.
Are you sure /pushbullet/auth is a valid express-route?
@hek As far as I know the
allowed_originvalue was not there when I originally set up Pushbullet for NodeBB. It's still empty now for this install, and it seems to be working fine. Let me fix up another bug I found and I'll take a look at the
