It seems to me that this is a very cool feature of the forum, if a guest sees the number of new topics (ex. only in the last 24 hr) this will create a feeling of a "live" platform, where there is activity and immediately there is a desire to join such a community.
It will also emphasize the technically peculiarity of NodeBB, guests will be able to appreciate in practice what real-time is and want to join us!
