Topic disappears from recent topics widget with custom categories when pinned

When I pin a topic it disappears from recent topics widget. This is only the case when I use custom categories. If I set it to 0, all topics including the pinned ones appear. I'm not sure if this is a bug, can someone help?

I published a new version of widget-essentials that should show pinned topics in recent topics widget as well.

I didn't do an update but edited library.js like here: https://github.com/NodeBB/nodebb-widget-essentials/commit/da7724362ea8a009eb3f78e2f3739d92f0d427f1

I'm still new to nodebb, as I edited some files of your plugin, how should I handle updates? Are files going to be overwritten?

You can install the new version of the plugin from npm with npm install [email protected] it will overwrite any changes you made in the node_modules folder.

I understand, so better always do a backup of any changes made to the plugin files.
