    There isn't much to it really, once you setup your db on atlas you can use the connection string in the uri parameter in your nodebb's config.json like so

    "uri": "mongodb+srv://<username>:<password>@cluster0.myqqq.mongodb.net/<database_name>?retryWrites=true&w=majority"

    My goal is to connect NodeBB to MongoDB only with unix socket.
    Found here that is possible to use unix socket with mongodb, also this link was helpfull but can't figure out how to solve this error.

    Why "error: failed to connect to server [%2Ftmp%2Fmongodb-1033.sock:27017]" there is default 27017 port, whats missing in this config?

    @julian aby progress to support dynamodb? I see database folder inside tests. If no progress is done to support dynamodb and i would like to start coding, these tests would tell me if i'm done? can i trust tests coverage?

    Anyone know if Minimongo could be used in a plugin to enable redis-style caching to a full mongodb instance? The redis (live) to mongodb (persist) route looks daunting...
