@teh_g I changed the nginx configuration to what is displayed in the docs, which now works. Nginx is working fine and im using Node v.8.2.1 - I've tried using 6.11.2 which didn't work for me at all. It wouldn't let me use the npm install --production command without crashing, which 8.2.1 will.

Will there be any difference in performance while running NodeBB? Which cloud hosting company do you think is better?

@crazycells I personally have no preference for either. For a number of years, I've been using Hetzner as my cloud host provider (unmanaged) and am very happy with the performance - Sudonix.com plus it's subdomains are all running in the same server without issues.
Admittedly, it's an 8 core 16gb RAM instance but not expensive per month in my view.

Yes, Hetzner Online has very good services as a cloud provider and the root servers are also good for any kind of projects. They have a fair, reasonable price.

@crazycells After using digitalocean for about 4 years, I switched to Hetzner E. It's also cheaper. I didn't see any difference in performance.
