It is different than pinning a topic to a category, it essentially puts an important message in a pinned message area so it is easy to find/reference it later. Check slack/discord for an example.

Actually, we have just nodbb gloabal tchat plugin. It's very good because he use native discussion but he has not moderate tools.

I fail to install.O will wait an update of tchat box on nodebb with moderate tools and official.
It's the only things for nodebb: a good plugins BDD/store and official updates with nodebb updates like GLPI for example. -
