    Every plugin I try appears to be broken

    I was using "build & restart". I've done that many times since deactivating the chat. Now though, it's not showing that error about the chat either.

    I first disabled the chat immediately after installing it over a week ago. I've done the rebuild and reload more than a dozen times since then. So that's really weird. I didn't see the icon for it after disabling it, but I was getting those errors in the browser console.

    Only thing I can think is that most of the "rebuild & reload" where clicking the notification in the bottom left that said to do so rather than from the main dashboard page.

    Problem installing plugins on hosted demo

    Hi,

    I am vision impaired and use a screen reader so maybe it is just an accessibility issue.

    I have just signed up for the hosted demo and looking into different solutions for a forum such as NodeBB, Muut, Vbulletin etc.

    I am trying to install a new plugin and get to the page where you can search for plugins under the admin menu.

    There is no labelled search button so I type in a search phrase such as "question answer" without the quotes as I want to check out the question and answer plugin. I then hit enter to presumably submit the search request.

    The page refreshes but no plugins are shown.

    Am I doing the search process incorrectly or is adding plugins banned in the demo perhaps,

    To install do npm i nodebb-plugin-bbcodes-embedly

    You can setup plugin in admin panel (image)

    @a_5mith @Ted Now now play nice, upvotes for the both of you.

    @Ralkage There's no substitute for the fundamentals. Understanding javascript syntax first will help you in the long run. When I was hiring (way back when in my non-startup days), I'd see lots of devs with "jQuery experience", who couldn't code their way out of a box in plain javascript.

    @psychobunny and @baris would make fun of me here, because back then I suffered from the same lock-in, except it was MooTools that I was using instead of jQuery XD
