IP Address saved for non-registered users

I am trying to figure out when the IP Address is saved. Is it saved for non-registered users?
Is there a setting where I can disable that the IP Address is saved?

@majr It depends. IP addresses may be saved in a variety of places along the chain. NodeBB itself does have some NodeBB specific knobs. See ACP/admin/settings/post.

For e.g.:

Most web servers collect logs so disabling above does not provide anonymity.
