we can preview them in the admin, but they are not playing on new notifications...

- Make sure the selected sounds are saved in the ACP by clicking save
- Make sure your browser cache has been cleared
- Do the incoming/outgoing chat sounds work?

In Safari I can't even preview the sounds on my machine while in Admin panel.

You might have to run this query to fix some invalid values in the user lists.

db.objects.updateMany({_key: "users:reputation", score: NaN}, {$set: {score: 0}});

I ran that to fix the issue on our forum and I can see negative users now. https://community.nodebb.org/users?section=sort-reputation&page=376

If a group is private and someone joins you have to approve them from not from the ACP but from the GROUP PAGE., i was looking for the approvement in the ACP.

I've seen this requested before. Maybe we will get it in the future. 😃 🙏

The problem probably happened because we were in two people using the panel at the same time, and something went wrong.

Apart from that, the server accepted a string ( "{category: cid}"**** or something similar ) in the place of a number, maybe some pre-checks on the incoming data should have been done.

Now i resetted all and the problem is solved, so sorry if i can't give much infos but i am not practical with redis and node.js.

**** EDIT:
when writing that without the space a wild number appears, is that normal?

I previously had this issue. It only affects admins who have the rights to change the order of the pinned topics which is why it's unlikely others can't reproduce on the OPs site.
However since 1.7 (could be Chrome 64) I no longer have the problem.
