'Popular' date filter

    Is there a way to be able to filter topics on a category page by:

    • day
    • week
    • month

    The functionality that exists on the 'popular' page in NodeBB has the functionality I need, but adding ?term=daily into the URL doesn't update the category page listings.

    I re-wrote the category controller (src > controllers > category.js) to handle passing ?term=x query through and only getting the relevant topics.

    I have created a community app where I want to show post(topic) based on tags and location. for eg. user select a 3 tags related to travel and and select a location of norway. then from those 3 tags if post(topic) contain any 1 or 2 or all 3 tag and post(topic) contain that location must be show. can anyone let me know how to do that and which API and what request parameter need to use to get those topics based on given filters.

    @gotwf I have found the culprit, and it has nothing to do with NodeBB, so I'm sorry to have bothered you.
    It ended up being our security team turned on web filtering rule on our load balancer that filters out certain URL paths that have admin/manage/etc in the path. The idea being to filter our administration pages and force the use of VPN to get to those paths. It's a fine idea, but I was not informed of that change.

    Better to bother us and get it fixed than to not bring it up and not 🙂 Glad that you got it figured out.

    NodeBB won't restart

    I've got the same problem a while ago. Deactivating the broken plug-ins isn't enough: you have to uninstall (npm un <package-name>) the right one from your installation.

    They usually show up in the logs from template building (node nodebb build) as errors or warns and in the dev console (node nodebb dev) as errors.
