Custom Field that User can't edit?

Hi, I want to have a custom field for my users that can not be edited by the users? Ideally this field would only be visible by members of certain group as well.

Is there a field like this already that I can use? Or is there another solution?

But this new custom field will be visible for all users, not only for members of certain group as you wanted...

Are there any fields existing that are visible by Admin only?
